 Clarideon

Formed in 2001, The duo of clarinettist Jan Jakub Bokun and accordionist-composer Michał Moc has been delighting audiences with their natural sense of style, musical wit, and energy. Their ease with the latin american repertoire has won them great critical acclaim. Offering music that is at the same time sophisticated and accessible, they are performing French music by Richard Galliano, Gabriel Pierné, Eugene Bozza, contemporary jazz influenced works arranged by themselves, as well as Polish music by Bogdan Precz, Wojciech Kilar and Michał Moc.

...To be noted most particulary is Bokun's incredible musical sensitivity and improvisational skills in Oblivion. I found myself forgetting about clarinet music altogether and listening to gorgeous melodies. Bokun is accompanied by virtuoso accordion artist Michał Moc, who simply knocked the wind out of me with his awesome virtuosity. Moc also shines in both pieces by Richard Galliano: French Touch and Tango pour Claude. French Touch is reason enough to hurry and acquire this CD. All tracks with Moc as a duo partner are my favorites on the CD.
